For 20 days in May of 2004, Dr. Kathryn Moller, a theater professor from Fort Lewis College, directed Through the Fire with a cast of inmates at the Lincoln Correctional Center in Illinois. This documentary follows the inmates' exploration of theatre dealing with domestic violence. These struggling women have learned many lessons and want to share their wisdom to help others. They speak out because of their strong desire to empower and encourage others to reveal their traumas.
